Felton doesn't like playing for McMillan

For the Portland Trail Blazers' point guard Raymond Felton, he says he's reached a point he's never been at as a professional athlete and playing for someone who doesn't have confidence in him, is very frustrating.

“I know I'm struggling, but it's hard to perform the way you know how when you know they don't have confidence in you,” Felton told CSNNW.com. “Never in my days playing basketball, have I felt like a coach wasn't confident in my abilities. It's hard to play knowing that.

"Coming in and out of games is throwing my rhythm off, but it's something that I'll get through."

He said that game was difficult on so many levels and he had to reach out to somebody he trusted.

“Tonight was one of those nights where it was hard to get into the game knowing every mistake I made would be magnified,” Felton said. “It's to the point where the only person I could turn to was my mom.

“She knows how I feel and how much I'm trying to turn this thing around and she just helps me put things in perspective.”

Every coach's system is different. When you change teams you gotta adjust. I think he'd be doing 5x better if he was with D'Antoni still -- but newsflash, he's not. Dude needs to adjust soon or start losing some minutes.

But he'll bolt soon as he gets the chance, but I understand him wanting to get the go-ahead from his coach, when your limited with what you can do on the offensive end because of your coach then I feel you can blame him

If you have free reign, then you dont have to worry about making the wrong play and being benched. Thats what I think he meant by it ballin

Felton wasn't even that good with the Bobcats. Went to the Knicks with a favorable system for PGs and his stats were inflated.

Felton wasnt good with the Bobcats because of their vintage slow offense

Felton isnt good with the Blazers because of their stagnant offense that revolves around LMA

He thrived at UNC in an up-tempo offense, had his best 1/2 year of his career as a Knick and continued to play well in Karls fast paced offense

And this inflated stats stuff is crazy, everyone says anyone can put up numbers in D'Antoni's offense, but obviously thats a lie... see Toney Douglas/Iman Shumpert... It takes the right PG to run his offense right. I dont see whats inflated about his stats if he put them up and played his role on the team... as he did.

I'm not saying you can throw any PG into the system and they'll thrive, but it is pretty favorable. Toney Douglas and Iman Shumpert can barely be classified as PGs anyway.
