We all saw Brett Favre get all choked up when questioned about his potential retirement, during an on-the-field interview at the end of 2006. According to PackersNews.com, there is nearly no retirement talk coming out of Green Bay and all indications are that Brett will return for his 17th NFL season in 2008.
Since joining the Packers in 2006, head coach Mike McCarthy has worked very well with Favre. Being surrounded with much younger and less marquee weapons, McCarthy has Brett making fewer errant throws and better utilizing the short-passing game than he has in year's past.
Favre is seeing some of the best numbers of his career, throwing for 4,056 yards, 26 toucdowns, and achieving a QB rating of 94.1...on his way to yet another Pro Bowl. The question remains, should Green Bay win the Super Bowl, would this season be Favre's last regardless? -AE
