He's missed eight straight, and ten overall. Is he out of the running or can it still be had?

Just a simple fact or fiction question.

I said fiction as well, but I agree it's a long season but he'll probably need some help.

The way I see it is even if he does come back and play the rest of the regular season he will still be in a good four man rotation (Davis, Anderson, Smith, Lopez) which will limit his minutes and touches. Meanwhile Lillard will continue to log nearly 40 minutes a night and 16-20 shots a game because the Blazers have the worst bench in the league and nobody else that can handle the ball for them. He may continue to rank near the top of the league in turnovers and do some other things poorly but his shiny per game stats will be too much to pass up.

Shouldn't be that much longer, Demps said his stress reaction is a little different from others because of his recent growth spurt which means his bones are still getting stronger. That's why he's been out so long. But he's been working with the team in non contact drills and such and just got the boot permanently off yesterday.
