http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/21514/20110428/elway_supports_tebow/ESPN.com - Broncos executive VP of football operations John Elway has been strangely vague regarding his opinion of Tim Tebow's potential as the team's starting QB. Until now.
During a half-hour conversation at the Broncos' facility the day before the NFL draft, Elway, who before winning two Super Bowls was a rookie QB who mistakenly lined up behind the offensive guard to take a snap, recognized the organization will need to be committed and patient for Tebow to eventually succeed.
He's shown absolutely no signs of supporting Tebow up until this news comes out. There's no way that they guy is Tebow's biggest fan when he doesn't even come out to shoot down rumors that he doesn't like the guy. There's been plenty of opportunities to do this before now, where he should have, and he didn't do it. This is just a smokescreen so people will stop talking about him not supporting his QB.
Thoughts?
