Elvis Dumervil has suffered a torn pectoral muscle and is out indefinitely.
It's a devastating blow for the Broncos as Dumervil will miss at least four months and there's a good chance that last year's sacks leader is out for the season. As the focal point of Denver's 3-4 defense, Dumervil was rewarded with a five-year extension just two weeks ago that will pay him $43.156 million guaranteed over the next six years. Jarvis Moss is an in-house candidate to step up at outside linebacker, but he has been wildly disappointing since being a first-round pick in 2007. Mario Haggan could also be asked to kick back outside. Aug. 5 - 11:52 am et

My goodness is this bad news for the Broncos defense. They depend on him so much to get pressure off the edge, if he is gonna miss the year.. that defense is gonna have a very tough time this year.
