Yeah but the Panthers essentially getting a first round pick for Steve Smith at this point in his career doesn't make much sense.

There were drug issues dating back to his early college days.  That's why he dropped so far in the draft, from what I remember.

Well he seems to be just an asshole and diva in general.  I always thought he dropped because of his perceived Ryan Leaf disease more than his drug use.  Also, I think college transfers always draw a red flag in the eyes of NFL teams, even though Mallett's was understandable.

The guys next post was that it was a 4 team deal, that Mallett was going to Cleveland and Hoyer was going to Houston
