Eagles lose Brandon Graham for the season

Michael Vick and the Eagles offense may need to keep scoring 30 points, because their inconsistent defense is in rough shape.

Rookie defensive end Brandon Graham suffered a torn ACL against the Cowboys, coach Andy Reid said on Monday. Linebacker Stewart Bradley dislocated his elbow and Reid said Sunday night he’s expected to miss the rest of the year.

The tune on Bradley changed a bit Monday. The Eagles are not planning to place Bradley on injured reserve yet and Reid said Bradley is out for “at least a couple weeks” and maybe more.

It’s worth noting the Graham’s role on the team wasn’t as big lately as you’d expect. Sheil Kapadia of Philly.com notes Graham only played 16 of 56 snaps Sunday night before getting hurt. Juqua Parker started and played most snaps.

Not good news for a defense that is already struggling to deal with injuries and consistency. Bradley hurts more, he was just starting to play a lot better & is a solid pass covering LB. More pressure put on Vick and the offense. This team needs Samuel back NOW.

the corners played alright last night. filling in for bradley, jamar chaney looked lost in pass coverage. graham doesnt hurt us that much because parker was making way more of an impact.

sucks to lose bradley again. hes a monster.

I wouldn't say corners played 'alright' but they do seem to come up big late in games. I commented about how they look so small, probably the smallest secondary in the league right now. They're young but Nate Allen and Patterson will beast within a couple of seasons.

Sounds like the Eagles are the ones with injuries this time when we face each other.
