Pistons president Joe Dumars plans to be on the phone through Thursday's NBA trade deadline.

“I’m in here today working straight through the next week,” Dumars told the Detroit Free-Press on Thursday. “Just working the phone lines; I will be in contact with multiple teams to see if there’s a deal that can make us better.

“But we don’t have anything on the table that imminent at this point.”

The Pistons would like to trade disgruntled Richard Hamilton to rid themselves of the roughly $27 million he is owed between now and over the next two seasons.
Oh boy.

He won't do shit.
No one wants Rip. And he still has the biggest hard on for Tayshaun.

Other then them two, I don't see him doing anything.

He's been working the phones for years. And I haven't seen no major moves.

I heard a rumor that the Pistons were trading Rip or Tayshaun to the Mavs but it was a false alarm, guy was just getting people excited. Had to come up with something quick lmao

Maybe it's not totally false, found this:

There has been talk, though, the Pistons could deal Prince this week for another expiring contract, like that of the injured Caron Butler, and perhaps get a draft pick and as much money from a team like Dallas.

Yeah I just read that.
If any Piston is traded, I hope it is Prince.

Dumars said he has been given permission to make trades, despite the possible sale of the team soon. But it is believed he cannot make a trade for a player with a long-term contract or a high salary. He is allowed to trade for draft picks and expiring contracts.

"There are some parameters for us to make a deal," Dumars said. "Yes, I can make a deal, but it has to fit within the parameters."

Dumars said he has had trade talks with many teams over the past few weeks, but added, "Now we don't have a deal to pull the trigger on."

Dumars said he doesn't know if the team will trade Richard Hamilton. He refused comment about the strained relationship between Hamilton and coach John Kuester.

"As I've said before, I will deal with that stuff privately," Dumars said.
