Sports Radio Interviews - Saints quarterback Drew Brees admitted in an interview with XX 1090 in San Diego that he'd love to have LaDainian Tomlinson join in him New Orleans.

"Come on, it's an easy question," Brees said. "I'd love to have him in New Orleans. I'd love to be his teammate again. I think LT's got a lot of great years left in him so we'll see what happens."

Brees doesn't think that Tomlinson should take less money to remain with San Diego.

"I don't think he should accept less money from the Chargers at this point. Because look at his track record - many people could say he had a decline this year but I disagree with that. He was banged up for the majority of the year and that's just part of the game at times. I mean the guy has missed one start his entire NFL career. So if you're going to sit here and tell me he's not a durable guy then you're crazy."
NFL.com - Negotiations between the Chargers and running back LaDainian Tomlinson on a restructured contract are over, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The decision is now reportedly in Tomlinson's hands, as he decides whether or not to sign the new contract
LT and Reggie Bush on the same team... That's a threat and a half.

That would be sick if LT went to New Orleans. Although, they do have some nice productive young guys to feel the gap for Deuce, but who knows.

LT will stay with San Diego for the season...although I cannot imagine what he would cost on the trade market. I think San Diego would have a hard time trading him b/c while they are asking for the World in return...inquiring teams would be trying to spin LT as a deteriorating back that is starting to slip in production.

LT does need a fresh start and I think New Orleans would be a nice fit...but LT's salary wouldn't fit in the Saints' cap.

It seems cool with Brees, but IDK if it's a good move considering how well Pierre Thomas played last year, and Bush started out alright... With Brees throwing 900 times, their running game is ok.
