Damn.South Florida Sun-Sentinel - Dolphins rookie Charles Clay has been forced to get a regular job while the NFL lockout lingers.
Miami drafted the Tulsa fullback in the sixth-round of April's NFL Draft.
Clay's is in debt to his agents and trainers. So to stay afloat he's been receiving day labor type work with a company called LPD, which has him cutting grass at oil wells and doing odd jobs like cleaning the jacks to make ends meet.
"It's hard times right now," Clay said. "I'm working little small jobs and things to get money. Not getting an income right now is tough, especially when I'm trying to have a facility to workout in, and have to pay for things like [trainers]."
