The Dodgers have agreed to terms with SP Kenta Maeda.

ERA last year of 2.09 and over the last six years hasn't had an ERA over 2.60.

Not surprised by this move. The Dodgers needed a right-handed starter and he should be able to fill the bill nicely. He is a bit of a wild-card, though. Its hard to tell how he'll do with the increased work load. They only pitch every 6 days in Japan.

It is supposedly going to be an absurd contract, possibly an eight year deal with deferred money. I am very interested to see the outcome in this deal.

Now my main question is, do they try and deal Wood for another bat or prospects or dump him into the bullpen? I think Wood still has great value and I totally would be okay with a Kelly + prospect for him package, though I doubt that happen for obvious reasons. I can dream though!

Kenta Maedas deal is for 8yrs 24 Million, + 10-12 million a yr in incentives. 3 million AAV. Fucking brilliant move by Friedman and Farhad.
