The Los Angeles Dodgers are still discussing a contract extension with Clayton Kershaw even though the season has started, according to sources.

The talks clearly have not been a distraction to the left-hander, who has pitched 16 scoreless innings in 2013.

Many expect Kershaw to receive a $200 million contract.

"I hear they're already over $200 million," one baseball official said.

Not surprising. They have about as much money as anyone in the game, are in a great market, and this dude is still only 25 so this could be a monster deal, probably 8 years, and there's still less risk in him declining rapidly at the back-end of the contract.

Kershaw is the only pitcher whom I feel deserves a 200 million plus contract. Young, great track record, and no injury history except for the this past september.
