Doc Rivers, Clippers Have Mutual Interest

Doc Rivers has interest in leaving the Boston Celtics to become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, according to sources.

The Clippers would put Rivers to the top of their list if he became available. The Celtics have not received a request from the Clippers to interview Rivers.

The Clippers are currently focused on talks with Brian Shawm Byron Scott and Lionel Hollins to replace Vinny Del Negro.

With Chris Paul becoming a free agent, the Clippers are looking to make a bold move at head coach.

I bet they'll give the Clippers permission to speak to him, and then demand some absurd amount of compensation, even though it would basically be their fault. Pretty much like the Red Sox and Theo Epstein.

Hollins coaching the Clippers would be blasphemous.

On another note, how does a coach feel about coaching a bunch of professionals one season and then a bunch of little bitches the next?

No, this is Danny Ainge. He'll ask for Blake Griffin as compensation, and then after losing all power in negotiations, end up with Willie Green

I'd want 'Dre or Bledsoe tho

They don't deserve jack shit if they're stupid enough to let him talk to other teams.

They aren't. They'd trade his contract before letting him talk

Well, then on another note, the Clippers would be insane to give up anything of value for a coach.

Doc is by far the 2nd best coach in the NBA, and the difference between #2 and #3 is significant.

The Clipp should be doing whatever they can to retain CP3. If thats getting Doc as HC and giving up a Eric Bledsoe in the process, then they should

They won 56 games with one of the worst coaches in the league. Trading Bledsoe for Doc Rivers would be so short sighted.

If CP3 says "Ill stay in LAC if you get Doc", its not short sighted
