Devin Harris Wants Long Term Deal With Mavs

Devin Harris would like to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks, but he would like to sign a multi-year deal.

Harris initially agreed to a three-year, $9 million contract with the Mavericks last summer, but it was pulled when they discovered an issue on the big toe of his left foot.

The Mavericks eventually signed Harris to a one-year deal worth $1.3 million.

Harris would like to have that three-year, $9 million deal back.

Obviously I dont really know where [the negotiations] will go, Harris said. My intent is to come back, but like I said, only time will tell.

I would rather not [sign a one-year deal]. Its kind of tough to do, especially coming off surgery.

I'd probably not give Harris a one year deal, much less a multi-year extension.
