Deron Williams' contract with Besiktas may be in jeopardy after the Turkish club's finances were reportedly frozen following allegations of their soccer team fixing matches.
The charges don't involve Besiktas' basketball team, but apparently all signings have been put on hold. That could potentially include Kobe Bryant, whom the team "[felt] they were close to signing" for a salary of $450,000 per month." NBA players have had problems collecting their money overseas before, so we'll see if this dampens the player-leverage movement.

Too bad for Besitkas. They were so close to getting Kobe to join Deron before this.
