So they may not even get the first round pick at all? Does it go unprotected after 2017, or do they only have a shot at it if it's outside the top 10 until 2017?

If they don't get the pick 2016 or 2017 it becomes two second round picks

Going to be so weird watching them without Deng. I got a few friends who are Chicago fans, curious what their emotions are, lol.

Kinda sounds like a Harden situation, team offers extension, player rejects it, team becomes impatient and trades player.

did they try to resign him yet? i was under the assumption he'll just cost too much.

dude has value. i really think they could've gotten a better offer.

I defenitely prefer this to the rumored Pau move, but management still doesn't realize this team is no good and we have a great top heavy draft coming up.

ok then i guess dealing him was the right move. still think they could've gotten better, though.

I like the deal for Chicago, if Bynum can get back to being the way he was then he could probably be a great PF (Don't ever really see him starting at C over Noah with the knee issues last year). Honestly fully healthy they have Rose, Butler, Boozer, Bynum, Noah (If Bynum goes to PF then move Boozer to SF.)

seriously? hell no. bynum will never work at the four, way too slow. and boozer at the three is even worse than that. boozer at the three will make josh smith look like an all star point guard.

I honestly don't think the bulls could have gotten a better deal than this from any other team without Deng first agreeing to an extension. He's a FA this summer.
