The Toronto Raptors announced shooting guard DeMar DeRozan has a torn left adductor longus tendon and is out indefinitely. DeRozan left Friday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the third quarter with a groin strain.

More to come.

Anyone know how long a injury like that normally lasts?

I'm really interested to see us without Derozan.  James Johnson is the guy I would start at the 3 (keep Lou on the benc), shift Ross to the 2.  You can't discount the value of a guy who can handle high volume usage, but guys like Lowry, Jonas, Ross, etc. are much more efficient than Derozan.  I expect (hope) the ball to just fly around the court.  It will have to in order for us to have any success.

I know that Jonas is capable of giving us more.  I'm not sure about Ross though.  He seems to max out as a spot up shooter.  Shame for how athletic he is but he shies away from contact more than any athletic wing I've ever seen.

I'm way less concerned about Demar being hurt than Lowry being hurt.  I may even be more concerned if Jonas or Amir got hurt just by virtue of who would replace them.  Should be interesting... thank god we play the Lakers first!

Yeah, I see Toronto surviving very well without DeRozan, but obviously his loss would be a problem if it were to extend.
