The Pistons are searching for a new head coach and because of the lockout, players such as Austin Daye are unable to talk to Joe Dumars for inside information on the process.

"I'm looking at RealGM.com more than I ever have before, looking at all the websites, just to see what's going to happen," Austin Daye said. "But whatever Joe Dumars decides, I'm sure it's going to be a good decision."

Lawrence Frank and Mike Woodson are the leading candidates for the position.

Austin Daye on SI! haha

It makes sense. Curious who the coach will be just like we are. Except were not going to be playing for who it is. Of those two guys, i'd like Mike Woodson. Although, i'm still liking the Bill Laimbeer option.

It's between Frank and Woodson. They said we should know soon as well. I'm pulling for Frank personally, but I feel like Woodson gets it.

He also said we would announce that hiring like a week ago, so not too credible lol.

Personally Id like to see Woodson win this. With all this turmoil up in Detroit the last few years a tough minded general is what that team needs. Especially when you have Charlie V and Ben Gordon up there. He turned Atlanta around even though he bumped heads with Josh Smith. All he cares about is winning and with the prestige of the Pistons he could return them back to the glory days. The last tough headed coach they had was Larry Brown and won the chip. Not saying Kuester wasn't tough but he was a terrible hire in the first place and players didnt want him at all as soon as he got there.

Yeah I don't MIND him, but I'd rather go with Frank. At this point I don't really care who gets it.
