Celtics likely send Jermaine O'Neal and another player to New Orleans in sign-and-trade, sources said. Hornets would move players elsewhere.

That's like a big 5, oh man.

I know you guys don't want to hear it, but I'll say it anyway just to piss you guys off.

Why wouldn't Stern veto this deal as well? ;)

KG can't play C

This is a depth move
David West isn't depth. You also don't pay a guy 28 or 29 million over 3 years to be depth. He will be a starter.

And also if my math is right, Boston's owner would have to pay $74,366,464 million in cap penalties THIS year alone. That pretty much says "the new CBA doesn't work." Damn I wish I had that type of money to just throw away.

Didn't the Celtics just get Brandon Bass and Chris Wilcox?

I still don't get how the Celtics can offer DWest a 8 or 9M a year offer when they are over the cap? Is the NBA like the NFL where you can exceed the cap and you have to be below it before the regular season?

I'm like 99.5% sure it had something to do with the S&T, but that just proves the NBA should have done away with it.

Pretty sure you can't sign and trade if you're a tax payer after the first two years of the CBA. Not effective immediately. I may be wrong though.

This is the package actually
From what I heard it was originally Jeff Green and O'Neal for DWest.

Alot of fans are bringing up the fact that if Sterns reasons for nixing the CP trade are legit, then he will nix this one too. I don't think his reasons are legit though.

stfu. this wont be vetoed. this isnt that type of deal. sure the celtics got better talent wise but i cant see kg playing center full-time. same goes for david west and i cant see david off the bench. this move is kind of "eh" to me lol.

lol stfu? :headsmack:

Hornets have all the leverage here, I doubt Dell makes this trade just so we can waive O'Neal and god knows what we would do with Pav. We signed him to a 10 day contract last year and let him walk after, so we obviously don't think much of him. Maybe the Hornets are getting Bostons first back or something, because I heard picks may be involved.
