Darko Milicic is considering leaving the Boston Celtics to return to Europe for the remainder of the season.

Milicic's mother is reportedly ill.

The Boston Celtics have waived Darko Milicic.

“Darko has asked us to release him so he could deal with a personal matter,” said Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge. “The whole Celtics family wishes Darko and his family well.”

Milicic, a 7’0” center, averaged 2.6 points and 4.2 rebounds across five preseason and regular season games with the Celtics this year.

probably the end of his nba career. hes been wanting to go back overseas and with his mother being ill i guess the timing is right. i wish him well.
