Dallas Stars defenceman Trevor Daley has agreed to a six-year, $19.8 million contract extension with the team.

The cap hit for the contract will be $3.3 million annually, and the package includes a no-trade clause that begins next season.

Daley, 27, has played all six of his NHL seasons with the Stars. The Toronto native has two goals and nine assists in 37 games this season.

He was drafted by the Stars in the second round of the 2002 draft.

In 453 career NHL games, Daley has 28 goals and 114 points.

He's still fairly young and has a good +/- rating of 9 this season. Six years is long though. So it's kind of risky.
