The Golden State Warriors' ownership has championship aspirations, but their play suggests they are a notch below the contenders based on their current roster construction.

The Warriors have been consistently aggressive in trade talks throughout the tenure of Joe Lacob.

Rival executives believe the Warriors' only untouchable players for Bob Myers are Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut.

I'm a fairly big Klay Thompson fan, but I'd look around and see what his value is. With how good a shooter Curry is, you might be better served to have a creator next to him.

I like Klay Thompson, but he's become really overrated.  He's a one trick pony, in a way.  I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if they started to float him out there in trade talks next season because I don't think they'll want to pay him the contract he's going to receive in RFA.

I guess you could classify him as a one trick pony, but a lot of "one trick ponys" like Kyle Korver either aren't confident enough to get their shot up as much as him or just can't. There's something to be said about an elite 3 point shooter who can consistently get his shot up.

Kyle Korver also doesn't play with guys like Stephen Curry. When Curry has missed time, Klay still scores a good number of points, but he becomes a really low efficiency player. Lets not leave out the post threats in Lee and Bogut either, who are both skilled passers out of the post as well. I think Klay could be successful elsewhere, but I think his teammates make his life a whole lot easier.

the thing klay has to his advantage is his length, though, and that helps a ton with his shot.

but, i kind of agree. id look around the gauge his value.
