Cruz isn't under contract. He has no obligations to go

He wants to, and should be, paid around $8-9M annually. Giants won't extend him past $6M what I'm hearing, and Cruz isn't signing his $2M RFA deal anytime soon

Fuck that $8-$9 mill per year shit.

Wouldn't pay him that much. Move along. Heard good things about Randle recently.

Cruz probably COULDN'T be there.

Is that the excuse all the time? I keep having a feeling it's not necessarily that though.

Well it was minicamp. I'm about 99.9% sure players that don't have a contract can't participate in something like minicamp or training camp, nor should they.

when you want a new contract and holdout, it's less of "screw you Giants, I won't play until I get my deal". It's more if he tears his ACL, that money goes bye-bye

I guess so, but is this the case? Nothing is getting reported!

I don't think the case really matters, if he doesn't have a contract he shouldn't be participating.

Oh well, he's screwed anyway... he can only negotiate with the Giants I believe?

We talk about Cruz and Nicks as if they're immediately replaceable, and as a fan of a team who plays the Giants twice a year, I'll flat out tell you that they aren't. I think Cruz deserves his contract, and Nicks will deserve his, as well.

These two are awesome. Pay them.
