Penguins fans should be happy......ESPN.com - Penguins center Sidney Crosby has been approved to participate in light workouts.
He has been out since Jan. 6 because of a concussion.
A source within the organization told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that he is cleared for light, off-ice workouts.
Crosby has missed nine games after getting hit headfirst into the boards by Tampa Bay defenseman Victor Hedman in a Jan. 5 game.
He also absorbed a blindside hit to the head from Capitals forward David Steckel during the Jan. 1 Winter Classic outdoors game. [READ]
