It's obvious that the Lakers need to make some adjustments following their disappointing loss to the Celtics in the Finals, and Dave D'Alessandro of the Star-Ledger believes Richard Jefferson might help solve their problems.

Assuming that Lamar Odom is the odd man out, Los Angeles could trade the forward to New Jersey for a package that includes Jefferson.

The teams can not agree to a one-for-one swap under the rules of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, though, because Odom's contract expires next season, and Jefferson has three years and nearly $43 million owed to him.

I wouldn't do this trade if I was the Lakers.

Well then you don't know RJ, he scored 22 points with VC taking 30 shots a game who knows what he could do with a playmaker like Kobe

New Jersey needs to rebuild around Harris and Williams, they've been trying Kidd (gone I know) + Carter + Jefferson + mediocre big men for two long now. However, Lamar Odom wouldn't be my ideal choice, Jefferson's much better and you could get more for him...

This trade is ballin'. I'd do it
I read that the Nets could then give Lamar a 1 year extension, then when he goes off the books they could make a run at major Free Agents like LeBron, DWade, Yao, etc

RJ is from LA, and Lamar is from Queens which isnt THAT far from Jersey
RJ would fit perfectly with Kobe and the Lakers.
Jefferson and Luke are also HUGE friends

If this happens then Lakers would be even better. The Nets also get a good deal(due to the money they would get in a year or two). Depending on what the whole deal looks like, I'd do this.
