You know what... i'm kinda glad he wasn't fired. It was a simple statement, but it made sense... haha.

It all came down to turnovers. From the beginning of the season we just gave up the ball too much and too easily. It was awful, even if games where we were clearly dominating, we would give up the ball and make it into a gut wrenching game. It just wasnt going to change overnight.

You don't pump your chest about having a winning season when you are expected to have a winning season. Raheem Morris could have given that speech and it would have probably merited cheers and appreciation. But when you are in a position to win a division in a season in which two of the teams in your division are in a state of transition (Philly, Washington) and your only other competition severely underachieves (Dallas), this season should be looked upon for what it was, a failure!

Honestly, this season pisses me off more than the last, because of the fact that the Giants are trying to spin this as something positive. I didn't realize that blowing a playoff spot and the #2 seed are "taking steps in the right direction".

I agree it was a dissapointment, but we also must consider all the injuries that occurred. I think that the team should be really changed up, because Ive seen this type of collapse before with the Mets. Thats just me.

Twill what are you talking about? Nobody expected the Giants to have a winning season. Everyone thought the Eagles and Cowboys would own the division this year. STFU.

Anyone stupid enough to think this team was going to have a sub-500 year was kidding themselves.

based on what? They were an 8-8 team last year and we all knew their linebackers sucked and their running backs weren't getting the job done. Not a lot of people expected them to play over .500.

The big point i make is -- People overcome low expectations. Nobody thought the Giants would be good. Nobody thought the Bears would be good. USA Today's pre-season power rankings had the GIants listed at 19 and the Bears at 20. Kansas City at 26, Jacksonville at 27, Buccaneers at 30, Rams at 32. All of those teams played much better than expected. Granted only one of those teams made the playoffs, but THE FACT is people didn't expect those teams to amount to shit, and they proved people wrong.

And don't try and counter with that bullshit SI power rankings back in like May by Peter King where he said the Giants were 9th. Guy is a retard -- He put Carolina at 8, Atlanta at 16, Steelers at 12, Patriots at 14.

Don't knock Coughlin for a 10-6 season. It's ignorant. Very few expected them to do anything.
