Coughlin Blames Lack of Third Title on Plax

The Giants have won a pair of Super Bowls under Tom Coughlin, but he said it would have been three if not for Plaxico Burress.

Coughlin told interviewer Michael Kay he was sure they were going to repeat.

“We were the best team in the NFL at the time of the shooting,” Coughlin said.
 
Far-fetched?Not sure. I thought they would repeat too, although it's difficult to repeat. 
 
Is Coughlin directly blaming it on Plax? Doesn't seem like it.

Yeah, that's why I really am taking what he said with a grain of salt. Media and writers sometimes :/

Yea, I like reading the actual quotes and not what how the media skews it. 
 
He never said that. He simply said they were the best team in the league at the time of the incident. I don't even know why this is a story, I suppose someone in the media asked him this just so they could run a random story in the offseason.
