In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Cobb bristled at the "slot receiver" label and wants to be known as a more complete offensive weapon:

"I don't want to work on just being a slot receiver," Cobb said. "I want to be a receiver, period. I want to be able to go outside, too. So one thing I've worked on this off-season, too, is my outside routes and trying to put that into my game so I'm not just labeled a ‘slot guy.'"

Cobb recorded 80 receptions for 954 yards and eight touchdowns last season as the main slot guy. With Greg Jennings now playing in Minnesota, he has a chance to rotate outside positions with either Jordy Nelson or James Jones.

Idk. I understand he wants to be considered more of a threat but I just don't see him being much more than a slot guy.
