The Los Angeles Clippers will take "about a week" to evaluate the season before making a decision on Vinny Del Negro, according to one source.
Del Negro, who is the final year of his contract, wants to return to the Clippers.

"It's something that I want to do, not something I have to do,” Del Negro said. “I enjoy it, I enjoy the competition, I enjoy seeing guys develop and come together as a team. A lot of things are thrown at you, that's for sure, but I love the challenge of it."

Gary Sacks declined to comment on Del Negro’s future.

"We just lost the game. We're going to let the dust settle a little bit and then evaluate everything," Sacks said. "Our coaches and players did a good job this year. But right after the game, I can't really comment on it."

Bet they bring him back.

He should be gone, but he shouldn't be the scapegoat.

He's not a scapegoat at all. He's an awful head coach, all the criticism is merited.

Agreed. Terrible coach really. They had a really talented squad, should have made it out of the first round, and probably had a higher seed in all honesty.

All I see about coaches on this forum is "they're awful." Only the Pistons fans ever listed legitimate reasons for why their coach was terrible. What makes Vinny that terrible? He's not perfect 100% of the time, so that's not good enough for some people. In the playoffs, especially last year, I loved the way he wasn't scared to use his bench.

The Clippers lost this series because DeAndre Jordan should be a backup big and Blake Griffin is overrated and was having trouble with Memphis' bigs even when he was healthy. They were no match for Gasol/Randolph. Jamal Crawford wasn't on. Chauncey Billups should have retired. Their roster wasn't good enough to beat Memphis.

vinny doesnt run a proper offense. he pretty much plays streetball. no real play sets. he does seem to have a grasp on his team, which is good, but hes still not the head coach they need. he cant develop players. hes better suited as an assistant.
