The Kyle Orton Era in Kansas City got off to an inglorious start Sunday against the Chicago Bears, when the new Chiefs quarterback hurt his throwing hand on his first play of the game after subbing in for Tyler Palko. On second-and-10 from near midfield, Orton checked into the game at QB and threw up a deep ball on a trick play flea flicker. Orton was hit as he released the ball and left the game the one play with a dislocated finger. It's unclear if Orton officially was taking over QB duties for Palko, who started the game for the Chiefs. Palko was 4 of 5 for 27 yards in the first quarter.
