The shooting at Arrowhead Stadium reportedly has resulted in one death at the team facility, and one death elsewhere.
According to KCTV, an unnamed player has committed suicide at Arrowhead Stadium. He shot himself at the practice facility after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend at a home near 54th Street and Chrysler Avenue.
Per Jay Glazer of FOX, Chiefs players are being asked to assemble at the team facility for a meeting regarding the situation.
More details to come.
I guess Crennel and Pioli were trying to talk to him in the parking lot but then he put the gun to himself and killed himself.

Really have no sympathy for him, he killed his girlfriend (who I guess left behind a 3 month old child with them) and then killed himself.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and the victims family. As for Belcher, go to hell.

Am I the only one who finds it weird that he went to the stadium? I mean he had to have some other people in mind who he wanted to harm there.

Thank God the coaches were able to stop him before he hurt anyone else.

Inb4 concussions, and all that nonsense.
I doubt it. I read that they dated each other on and off and the woman was going to leave him and he couldn't accept it. I'm guessing that he couldn't accept the fact that she wanted nothing to do with him.

[background=rgb(217, 217, 221)]Early reports are alcohol and prescription drug abuse coupled with extreme concussion symptoms may have tipped an already volatile relationship in this case. [/background]

[background=rgb(217, 217, 221)]Friends saying he had just talked her into moving back in, and he suffered a major concussion leaving him not even remembering how he got her back. Not absolving him of anything with those statements - just sharing new information. Sad all around. Disappointing if this friend is legit that more people weren't there trying to help someone that sounds like he needed intervention and support. Just bad all around.[/background]

I didn't watch the Chiefs vs Panthers game but I read that some of the fans wore Belcher jerseys there and I couldn't believe it. How could anyone support a person like Belcher? He killed his girlfriend, the mother of his child, then instead of taking responsibility for his actions, he took a coward's way out and took his own life. Could somebody please explain the mindset of this?

its still a sad situation and he was a troubled mind. wearing his jersey was to honor him as a player, and not a person anyways.

I don't condone what he did, but none of you were in his shoes. None of you had his mental issues and his concussions, or his problems, or his every day struggles just to stay alive (the likelihood in this case is that he was suicidal in the first place, I think). While he is the perpetrator, for sure, the mere fact that he pulled the trigger doesn't absolve her of what she may have done to him in her life. This is not a one-sided situation. There were two culprits, each of which ended up dead. It's unlikely that he up and decided to shoot her before he...shot her. It was more than likely a sad, momentary situation in which his finger acted before his head (I'm not sure if this is making sense, but I think y'all will know what I mean), and what I've always wondered in these kinds of cases is what does the person who gets murdered have to do, or say, or imply, to the person with the gun in order to get themselves shot in the first place? The will to live, for your child and yourself, should outweigh your will to win an argument, or get the last or meanest insult in during a fight. Seriously, what was wrong with BOTH of the persons who ended up dead, here? Did her punishment outweigh the horrible things that she did to him with her 50% of the relationship? Yes, but she still did those things, and he still did the horrible things to her with his 50% of the relationship. It's a two-way street, folks.

They're both guilty, and both paid much more than necessary, and now some poor child is without parents. You hear that? Parents. Plural.

Both Jovan and Kasandra share the guilt in this situation. It's unfortunate, but it's true.
