The Chiefs will start second-year pro Tyler Thigpen at quarterback against the Jets on Sunday at the Meadowlands, head coach Herm Edwards told The Star Ledger in an exclusive interview today.

Starter Brodie Croyle is out for the season with a knee injury suffered last week against the Titans and veteran Damon Huard injured the thumb on his throwing hand in the same game.

"Huard has a hand, we're going to go with the kid (Thigpen),'' said Edwards.

Though they are struggling, they had a pretty nice game against the Jets sunday. Tyler Thigpen has been fair this year, with a couple 100 yard games(151 vs Oak, 128 vs Atl), a couple disaster games(37 vs Carolina, 76 vs Titans), and a suprising performance sunday against the Jets(280). In 5 games he has 672 yards, with 4 td`s and 4 int`s. There`s some potential there.

That would be nice. Heck, it would be nice to see him anywhere. I really hope he gets back in the NFL sometime soon. He only retired to figure some things out, and decided it wasn`t the right choice and would definately be a decent option for anyone that needs a reliable qb.
