Good article, too much to quote in here. But they clearly want better QB play. I could see them taking a guy in the 2-3 round if they don't keep Orton or sign someone else.

I was expecting this. even if Cassel wins the job, maybe it lights a fire under his ass.

A QB competition is barely ever good. Means you aren't stable at the position.

If you have two QBs, you have no QBs.

KC already knows that they're not stable at the QB position though and so does most of their fans. That's exactly the point of having the QB competition. Either Cassel, who isn't too popular there, loses his job or it lights a fire under him and he plays better. Win-win for the fans.
