The Celtics and Rockets are discussing a trade involving Shane Battier, according to sources.

Boston is looking to improve their perimeter defense, as Marquis Daniels has a bruised spinal cord and Delonte West has been banged up all season.

The Celtics have also targeted Anthony Parker.

Houston may want to move Battier's $7.4 million contract for a more ambitious move and the Celtics have limited trade assets.
