That'd be a tough offer to turn down.

Does Love even want to play for Cleveland though?

It doesn't. Would be Memphis' future potential lotto pick, Heat's 2015 first and some future Cavs first probably

I'd certainly accept it as the Cavs. Losing Dion would hurt, but can't exactly call the Wolves up and tell them Kyrie, the #1 pick and Waiters are off the table.

Kyrie/Love/Embiid would be sweet.

Could throw a sizable offer at Stephenson or something in free agency too

I would do it if I was the Cavs as well. You gotta go for the bigger names if you wanna be successful in this league.

The Cavs have been "collecting" (if you want to call it that) assets since LeBron left. It's time to start flipping those and right the ship. It's also important to show Kyrie the team is actually serious about contending. If we traded for Love, and he then sees the potential in an Embiid or even Wiggins I guess, these reports of him being unhappy and wanting out would probably stop being published, just a guess.

Kyrie, Love & Embiid all have potential to be top 5 players at their position, with Love already being there. That's enough to contend. Not to mention the cap space we'd still have to add to it.

Doesn't mean much though, cause I don't expect the Wolves to accept it.

Really can't see Love re-signing in Cleveland. Even if he does see the potential cause that team still isn't going to win for a few seasons, until Embiid hits his potential (if he does).

Minnesota would be dumb not to accept it though.

I don't see how Cleveland persuades Minnesota to give up Love without getting Cleveland's best asset (#1 pick) back in return. Infact I'd go as far as guaranteeing Love won't be in Cleveland without the #1 pick being in Minnesota.

While they might want the #1 pick, even without including it the Cavs can beat almost any offer, aside from maybe Chicago, but that would be based on their opinion of Mirotic, and if he'd even go to the NBA once he found out the Wolves had his rights. Just looking at the other draft picks the Cavs own, they have a potential lotto pick with Memphis based on the protections in it, the Heat's 2015 is interesting, depending on what LeBron decides to do, and a future Cavs first is always valuable, because this franchise is a mess.

But there is also the question of if Love would waive his ETO and give the Cavs any type of assurance, which is not likely. It is a large gamble. I think they'd make it though if the Wolves take their offer

But I could see the issue of how to explain to your fans you just traded Kevin Love and didn't get either of the Cavs two most valuable assets, but fuck the fans.

Again, I've already stated I don't see Kevin Love ending up in a Cavs uniform, either. I am just pointing out what I think about the situation. While Waiters hasn't shown a great off ball ability, I'd be interested in seeing him with a pass first PG in Rubio. Waiters is very good in spot up situations.

Without the Cavs #1 overall pick, I do think there are teams out there that can beat out that offer.
