The Cleveland Cavaliers are prepared to offer Greg Oden a two-year contract with a team option for a third year after the trade deadline, according to a league source.

Oden’s agent, Mike Conley Sr., confirmed Oden has met with the Cavaliers previously, but was evasive when pressed as to what capacity.

“Greg has been up there [to Cleveland] before and he’ll probably be up there again in an official capacity,” Conley said Friday.

The Cavaliers have about $4 million in cap space, which they are preserving for potential trades

Has been his entire career.

No clue if Conley's dad actually represents him though.

Also, I don't know if I've said this yet, but this would be so awesome. Never thought I'd see Oden on the Cavs coming out of the draft. Obviously, he's always hurt and probably isn't good, but still. Love em.

I meant if Conley's dad represents Conley. Unless that's how you read my post and responded

I'm confused by myself right now.

Speaking of Conley, Memphis would be a real nice spot for Oden too.

Oden to Memphis would be real interesting, he obviously wouldn't be expected to log a lot of minutes and he could be very effective in that role and for we all know he could stay 100% healthy. As long as he doesn't end up on Miami I don't care where he goes. Thought he was going to be a really good player so I hope he can stay healthy

I hope he isn't forcing this, needs to make sure he's as healthy as possible before stepping back on the court.

Hes not gonna play this year, it's just to get with a team for the rehabbing process. Right now he's paying out of his own pocket.

[background=rgb(242, 246, 248)]The field of suitors for Greg Oden may have decreased by one, as Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio reports (via Twitter) that the Heat have removed themselves from the running. Miami had been considered one of the frontrunners for Oden, according to a report last month.[/background]
