The Cavs and Nuggets are in advanced discussions that would see Timofey Mozgov head to Cleveland, sources tell Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com (Twitter link). Cleveland is willing to give up at least one first-round pick and additional assets to make it happen, Stein tweets. Clevelands monthslong pursuit of the Nuggets center had progressed to serious off-and-on talks, as Grantlands Zach Lowe wrote earlier this week, while Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio heard recently that the Cavs were no longer receiving a flat no from Denver

He's a solid player, IDK if I'd have given two firsts for him though.

Then again it is the Cavs, so the picks wont be too good.

The pick from the Thunder is guaranteed to be in the 20s basically, and the Memphis pick is protected 1-5 and 15-30 this year and next year, top 5 protected the following year, then it becomes unprotected.

The Cavs didn't even have the Thunder pick originally, so it can be seen as Waiters + the Memphis first for JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, Timofey Mozgov, and a second round pick.

i wouldn't say it's an overpay. he's a big man who rebounds and plays solid defense. good for at least 10/10 and has a history with the coach.

He's never averaged 10 points or 10 rebounds

Nuggets freeing up the minutes for Jusuf Nurkic, while getting two first rounders. Great trade for them.
