ristan Thompson and the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed upon a five-year, $85 million contract.

Thompson was a restricted free agent this offseason And was effectively a holdout during the preseason.

Thompson's deal contains no player options.

The Cavaliers have two of the six highest paid power forwards in the NBA this season in Thompson and Kevin Love.

Good for him, Cavs are definitely making it to the Finals now. Now that I think about it, man 17 million per year for a dude that is a great rebounder and plays meh defense.

Stupid Cavs lol jk

The 5/80 number was reported a long time ago. He's overpaid but everyone knew it was gonna happen as soon as LeBron signed here last year. I'm just glad they didn't cave on the max, and managed to get them down to 82.
