Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan was absolutely mauled in the dying moments of last night’s game in Atlanta, but the officials swallowed their whistles. Following the 93-92 loss to the Hawks, an understandably incensed Dwane Casey tore into the refs. The head coach should expect a fine from the NBA, but he’s too upset to care. Per the AP and Toronto Sun: “Casey and the Raptors wanted a foul called during the intense exchange, but no whistle meant the Hawks survived for the win. Casey charged onto the court with his arms extended, demanding an explanation for the no-call in the final seconds. He was still upset in his postgame news conference. ‘I’ve been in this league 18 years and I’ve never seen as many missed calls at the end of the game to cost us the game,’ Casey said. ‘We have good officials. Too good to miss calls and short-change these young men like that. And it’s not right.’ [...] ‘I’m tired of losing games because of missed calls at the end of games. I know the league is going to come down on me, but I don’t care,’ said a seething Casey, smoke practically billowing out of his ears. ‘These guys have fought their hearts out, played their hearts out and at the end of the game, we get cracked, (league sends out an) apology, go back to Canada.’”

It was pretty BS that there was no call.

Casey.
I’m tired of this. I’m tired of losing games because of missed calls at the end of the game. I know the league’s going to come down on me but I don’t care. These guys have fought their hearts out, played their hearts out, and at the end of the game we get cracked, [then and] apology, and we go home back to Canada. It’s happened too many times. I’ve been in this league 18 years and I’ve never seen as many missed calls at the end of the game to cost us the game. We have great officials in this game, we have good officials, and too good to miss calls and short-change these young men like that. It’s not right. It’s not right for these guys to play their hearts out and then come up on a missed call at the end of the game. I wouldn’t just say this, I watched it three or four times, hoping that they missed it but they didn’t.

I saw it, just another horrid call by NBA officials. It's out of hand.
