Carmelo Anthony has small tear in shoulder

 

An MRI revealed that Carmelo Anthony has a small labral tear in his left shoulder.

 
The plan for Anthony will be to let the injury heal on its own for three or four weeks, then if there is no improvement, surgery will become an option. Melo's shooting numbers were awful in the postseason, making just 29.8 percent from the field. There's no correlation to his shoulder causing this issue, but it does make some sense since he was visibly bothered by the issue over the past month. Regardless of the treatment, Anthony should be ready for the 2013-14 opener.

Makes sense. he always struggles in the postseason but ever since he dislocated his shoulder he looked even much worse out there.
