From kcstar.com
Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson resigned today effective at the end of the season.

“On behalf of my family and the entire Kansas City Chiefs organization, I want to thank Carl for his two decades of service to the Chiefs,” Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said. “Both Carl and I agreed that immediately initiating the search for the next Chiefs general manager would be the best thing for the future of the organization, and he will be resigning following the 2008 season.’’

Hunt said the search for a new general manager will begin immediately. Vice President Denny Thum will serve as the Chiefs' interim president and general manager.

Didn't know who he was, but obviously he wasn't doing a good job although they seemed to have a good draft in April.

With the way the Chiefs have been going this is most likely a good thing for them. It's kind of how I feel about Mike Brown and how the Lions thought about Millen.

Herm Edwards should be fired first IMO... this is another case like Detroit and Matt Millen... just let it go

I don't understand why we hung onto the guy for so long

we haven't won a playoff game since freaking Joe Montana suited up for us.
