The Arizona Republic hears the Cardinals "think highly" of Kyle Orton as alternative to Kevin Kolb.
Beat writer Kent Somers believes the Cardinals have Kolb rated "slightly ahead" of Orton, but not enough to justify overpaying in a trade with the Eagles. Although this report could be a leverage ploy by Arizona, there's plenty of credibility to the idea that Orton will be a fine fallback option at a lower price. If the Cardinals don't fork over at least a first-rounder, we're not sure the Eagles will find another team willing to meet their asking price.
