Can the Cardinals continue to win with Drew Stanton?

The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a bye week, looking ahead to a third consecutive start for Drew Stanton. Carson Palmer looked to be on his way to returning to his starting role, but suffered a setback in the freak nerve injury he'd suffered, and has since visited a specialist. All things considered, and nobody is saying this out loud, but it's an injury that could spell the end for Palmer, and the Cardinals may be forced to move forward with Drew Stanton and Logan Thomas at QB. Stanton has turned in a pair of impressive performances against the Giants and 49ers, and shows solid accuracy and a connection with potential Offensive Rookie of the Year John Brown, but can he continue to keep the chains moving, and the Cardinals rolling?

Discuss.

I don't think he can carry them to be an elite team, but I can see a 10 win season for sure.

Cards are my madden team tho

Well, being a Cardinals fan and I am going to the game in Denver this weekend, its going to be extremely tough to win there.  I am one that is a huge fan of Stanton and his toughness.  I wanted Palmer out of the starting role last year (for the first 6 games), but Carson finally got comfortable with the offense.  Stanton has not exactly lit up the stats, but he has done 1 thing- win (so far).  The Cards have played 3 tough teams already and now going for the 4th in a row.  Hope they can pull it off to show that they are for real.  My prediction for the Cardinals is 11-5, this weekend being 1 of those 5 loses.

He will be hiding within that Orange and not show his Cardinal Red until he thinks they are going to win. :p

Stanton is a relief as most backups are horrible.  We all thought when he went out there against the Giants, that the season may have been over.  It was great to see it wasn't.  I know he won't be a QB that throws up 300+ yrds and 3 TDs in games, but neither does Wilson.  I just think Stanton is a game manager and teams can win games with that type of QB.  Again, look at Wilson.

I think Bruce Arians is already in consideration for best coach in the league. He does a lot of unorthodox things behind the scenes that make players and coaches want to work for him.

The Cardinals would have led at halftime with Stanton if John Brown hadn't dropped 2 (if not 3) passes, one of which would have been a sure touchdown, another and easy first down on third down, and Michael Floyd and Tedd Gin Jr. hadn't dropped a pass, apiece. Good lord. Talk about having your weapons fail you.

Then the dude goes out with a concussion, which isn't surprising. That OL has been getting him killed.
