Bulls and Noah Agree On Contract

The Bulls have agreed to terms on a contract extension with Joakim Noah, a team source confirmed. The deal is expected to be in the neighborhood of $60 million over five years.

Noah would have become a restricted free agent next summer had he been unable to agree to an extension by October 31st. Noah has been a player teams have consistently asked for in trade discussions, but the Bulls have always appeared convinced to keep him.

Thing is he could of hit the market and probably gotten significantly less, no way in hell he touches those numbers from another squad. And I really don't feel like he would of left the Bulls at all.

I just feel like this might be a regretful extension down the road. Could of kept a few million down the road that could of helped them a lot in their building process.

He could easily get that much on the open market. He wanted more than what the Bulls actually gave him. I have no problem with this signing at all, and obviously none of you guys have ever watched a Bulls game.

This guy is the leader of the team. When Noah went down with an injury the Bulls went to <Censored>. Without Noah controlling the paint, the Bulls have no interior defense.

Nothing wrong with locking up your center, something that is hard to find, that is only 25 and already one of the best centers in the league. He's only improving, I'd expect a 12-14 PPG, 12-14 RPG, 2-3 BPG season from Noah this year and for the next 5.

The Bulls are gonna be in great shape with Noah, Boozer, and soon Rose locked up for years to come. Nobody in Chicago is complaining about this. Everybody loves this.

sure, scoring wise i love it. financial wise and long term/rebuilding... i hate it, other than derrick.
