Just when you thought Chris Redman getting the start for the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night was bad, check out who the St. Louis Rams will have under center. After suffering a "set back" during his recovery from a concussion, Marc Bulger has been downgraded to "OUT" for the Rams Sunday match up versus the Bengals. With Bulger's regular back-up Gus Ferotte still suffering from a partially torn labrum in his throwing shoulder, in steps former Miami Hurricane Brock Berlin, who has never attempted an NFL pass.

Berlin, 26, was was undrafted following a 19-5 career as quarterback of the Miami Hurricanes. Berlin spent time with Dallas, Miami, and played a season with the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europa. Berlin was activated from the Rams practice squad on November 27th. 35-year old veteran, Todd Bouman, was also signed by the Rams this week and could see action should Berlin fail. Bouman has played in 42 NFL games with Green Bay, Minnesota, New Orleans, and Jacksonville.

As for Bulger's status looking futher down the line, Rams head coach Scott Linehan told the media on Saturday: "It's indefinite." After signing a new deal that made him the highest paid player in franchise history, Bulger has missed a lot of time on the field due to broken ribs and a sprained thumb. -AE
