Browns looking at Uni Change

I thought this would happen the Lerner Family brought them back into the NFL but it didn't. Something I have always been opposed to because I favor historical and simple over futuristic and quirky. Well after some quiet specualtion, it just might seem that the Browns are ready for a uniform make over next season. That is...if Kellen Winslow's interview with Penthouse has any validity to it.

Penthouse: The Browns have never significantly changed their uniforms design. But when your name is the Browns, what can you really do with that?

Winslow's Answer: You know what? We're in the process of changing all that. Next year, you're gonna see some new uniforms for the Cleveland Browns. This is really a big part of what Braylon Edwards and I have been talking about for a long time. It may be something similar to what the Broncos have. It's time for a change. Sometimes people live in the past in Cleveland. That's fine, but this team is trying to build an identity and start up something new.

Winslow is the self proclaimed "Soldier" and who better than "The Soldier" to know about his uniforms? Unfortunately for Winslow, he and Braylon Edwards couldn't be more wrong. There's way too much history in those Browns uniforms and getting rid of them is pretty close to the equivalent of the Yankees ditching pinstripes. Otto Graham, Jim Brown, Bernie Kosar, the fat-drunken slob in section 315 yesterday, all have shared the same look and the same colors for decades.

I would bet the clothes on my back that the clothes on the Browns' back, remains unchanged for a long time to come. Although that that "AL" patch on the sleeves needs to go. -AE

the helmet is a joke, guys. i guess you still haven't caught on to AE's sarcastic humor. I actually like the Orange unis - they could use the same colors in a different style, though.

I can't believe how gullible a lot of you guys are.

A couple weeks ago I got all you believing that the Red Sox were actually adding pinstripes to their uniforms. Today I have everyone buying the Browns putting their helmet logo on their helmet.

Loosen up fellas...have a good laugh at this one.
