This is exactly the kind of move I wanted to see. This franchise is so fucked up and can't hire anyone good, so if you're gonna fail, at least try to be innovative.

He's not really running the team though, at least I don't think he is.

I dont think I have ever seen something like this before. The only thing that comes close is when the Marlins put their gm as manager but that sort of made a little bit of sense.

Paul Depodesta was a good scouting director and hes gonna be missed.
