The offseason shake-up continues in Cleveland.
The Browns on Tuesday announced that CEO Joe Banner and general manager Michael Lombardi are leaving the organization.
Ray Farmer, who toiled under Lombardi, has been promoted to general manager effective immediately. Banner, set to exit over the next two months, released a statement on Tuesday calling the transition "bittersweet."
Team owner Jimmy Haslam also released a statement, thanking Banner and Lombardi for their services before quickly shifting the spotlight to his new hand-picked GM, saying that "we're fortunate" to have Ray Farmer, who "embraces his partnership with (coach) Mike Pettine."
Add it all up, and Tuesday's events are a crystal clear indication that Haslam fully tired of a Banner-led front office that surfaced as the butt of jokes after firing coach Rob Chudzinski after just one season.

I agree, I do like Ray Farmer, a lot.

But this isn't the first time I've liked a Browns front office change, and I've never been proven correct in my assessment.

Lucky for him, the cupboard isn't dry. There is a lot of talent here for a change. Sign Ben Tate, get a solid receiver in FA next to Gordon, long term extension for Ward, tag Mack, extend Haden, draft a QB round 1, go defense the rest of the way and stack it with talent.

I don't even think you need another WR. Traditionally Shanny's offense features the X WR heavily, which will obviously be Gordon, but the Z WR is used very Little-y (pun intended).

And I think with all those picks the Browns have, it may be better to take Carlos Hyde or someone, rather than pay Tate a large sum of money, because I think Hyde will be better anyways, and Tate probably will have a little bidding war for him.

But yeah that defense is a few pieces away from being really, really good, hence why I think if Clowney is there they should take him.
