Chicago Tribune - Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, has formally requested a trade.

"The Bears made their decision, now I have to make mine," Briggs said.

"It's just how the business works. It's not going to take away from what I do on the field. I'm 100 percent a Bear, until I'm not a Bear anymore."

The six-time Pro Bowl selection recently approached the Bears about a raise, but upper management has not budged.

This is the kind of shit that annoys me. He signed a six year deal, he knew what he was getting. If he wanted more money after 3 years, he should have signed a 3 year deal.

A contract of that duration, he got a lot of $$ up front. Now he doesn't like it. Tough shit, and I hope he rots there for 3 more years or gets traded to a junkhouse team that won't amount to shit.

Although I will admit, the Giants need a LB, badly, especially with all our defensive players injured at the moment. If they could afford him, I'm all for a trade. However, I don't think they can afford him, seeing as they couldn't afford to resign their own guys. If they could dump off a bad contract (chris canty), or package Osi and another $3M-$4M salary, they could possibly make it work.

Lance is one of my favorite players, but I'm really starting to get annoyed with him. He did this same shit when he wanted a contract last time, saying he would never play for the Bears again. I'm about ready to say trade his ass and let Iwuh play WLB.

There's going to be a ton of activity from teams trying to get him. He's got an amazing amount of talent, and can lead any defense he heads to. Honestly, I could see the Giants going after him, as they've needed a linebacker for quite some time, and didn't find one in free agency. I'd think that the Colts will be showing some interest too, and could see the Browns going after him as well. Lots of possibilities.
