Gary Washburn is reporting that the Celtics, according to a source close to the team, "desperately" needs an assistant coach who can relate to Rondo.

Rondo is apparently already having some trust issues now that Doc Rivers is gone, although it's unclear if he's upset by the arrival of Brad Stevens or not. In any case, it does make sense that the C's would be looking for a coach to mentor Rondo, so don't be surprised if they add a former player to the staff specifically for that purpose. Rondo's expected to miss the early part of the season as he recovers from knee surgery, and probably isn't thrilled to be playing with a new lineup in a serious rebuilding situation.

We do have Jay Larranaga tho. And apparently we might bring in James Posey as a coach

The Celtics should just fuck this kid over, seriously. Eat his contract and don't even let him dress for games, absolutely refuse to trade him. It wouldn't even take a full season and he'd probably decide to toe the line.

That, or dress him, don't start him, don't play him. Such a goddamn diva.

i really dont think they can command too much because we know what kind of players he needs around him because he cant score and we all know how much of a headcase he is.
